Sango Japanese Restaurant Review


Thinking to impress your boss on a business lunch or even that date of yours in a short quickie Japanese lunch while wanting to take care not to burn a hole in your pockets with hotel price? I have just the place for you. Read on to find out more..


Thanks to Rachel Loh of FoodiLIFEcious, I got invited to review this restaurant in Crystal Crown Hotel PJ. Yeap that's right. It's in a hotel but hotel and good price doesn't mix? You might just be surprised.


Lined with traditional Japanese wood walls and partitioned for private dining or even a private room, it's surely a comfortable and decent place to have a meal


Then we have the bar dining area where one could dine and wine or order a sip of that Hibiki =)


You could also see part of your meal being prepared fresh in front of you.


They serve a vast variety of Japanese imported liquors, some that are real hard to find elsewhere too.


Now back to their food. They are currently offering Lunch Set Menu that comes with free Soup of the day and 1 scoop of homemade ice cream with a total of 9 sets to choose from. This juicy teriyaki Salmon rice box would cost you RM22.9


Freshly grilled Eel and Japanese Omelette slice served with rice in a bowl costs RM25.9


Then we have the Chicken Crumbs cooked with egg in a bowl of rice priced at only RM15.9.


Then we have chicken dipped in sweet teriyaki sauce served in a bowl of rice at RM15.9


For those who love Japanese curry they could order this Crispy Chicken cutlet served with piping hot Japanese Curry on rice an RM18.9


Next we have deep fried tempura prawn and vegetables glazed with teriyaki sauce on top of a bowl of rice at RM18.9


Then we have the beef slices and glazed onion tare served in a bowl of rice for only RM18.9


For those who prefers a piping hot soup noodle, they could order this served with mixed tempura at only RM18.9


Then we have the vegetarian friendly fried mix vegetables served on top of a bowl of rice at RM15.9. That wraps up the Lunch Set menus


They also have a wide variety of Ala-carte menu items to choose from should you choose not to go with the sets.

Rapid KL LIED!! TIPU!!

I have been a Rapid KL user since the days of Intrakota and Star LRT. Yes, that roughly tells you how long I had relied on public transport to move around KL. I mean the infrequent train and the rise in fares had affected me in a bad way but it's still bearable. The cost of taking the bus home had risen from a mere RM40++ for RM2 daily bus pass to RM100 for a bus pass. This doesn't include the train rides I take. To make it worse, they boast LIED in their brochures that "SAVE 50% on fares when you buy passes". I think the brochures should be rewritten as "YOU PAY EXTRA 100% on fares even when you buy passes" or "WE EARN DOUBLE FROM PASS SALES".
