Lights, Camera, MBO! Did you know that MBO just recently launched their flagship cinema in The Starling in Damansara Uptown? They transformed the whole cinema to a club like atmosphere just for this launch event The launch event was dubbed the MBO Stellar Night which was star studded with popular members of the Malaysian entertainment industry and also bloggers and medias. Well for one there was no shortage of food and drinks to go on the night while we waited for the premiere of War for the Planet of the Apes.    Oh and plenty of wine, champagne and beers to go around   There were dances, special appearances of Marvel and DC characters, free flow of food and drinks from their concessionaires so we could really try all the good food at the cinema before being ushered into the movie halls. Quite a few of my friends who works in Cyberjaya say's that although it's a technology city but it seems dead when it comes to entertainment and food. Guess what? With the newly opened D'Pulze mall and the cinema, they can't really complain anymore. From the 13th to 16th August, TGV actually had free screening for selected movies in conjunction with it's opening. There were 8-bit roadshow activities throughout the day of which you could win movie passes. Games ranging from shooting the baddies, puzzles, video games, picture booth, stick on note board As part of the bloggers & medias invited, Screening of Pixels with a glow in the dark Pixel tshirt! Now imagine the crowd glowing in the cinema? Upon entering the hall, I noticed the seatings were much more spacious and comfortable than other cinemas. I guess it has became a norm with TGV cinemas with larger leg space for a more comfortable movie experience. Whole row of reserved seats just ...

The second installment of the trilogy. Yes you read it right. There's a 3rd one coming. This is only the sequel to the first movie. If you have not watch the first movie, there are parts where you would wonder what is happening. Questions like how did they get to ride the dragons? How did someone loss his legs? Did his dragon bite if off? Go get yourself the DVD of the first movie(illegal or not is up to you seriously but I ain't responsible if you ever get caught). My take on the movie? Totally worth watching. Going for 3D? I would advice you to save up the money and for the likes of action movies aka Transformers: Age of Extinction as this movie 3D is nowhere near avatar. Seriously after 15 minutes I could barely notice if there were any 3D left on the movie. And No I ain't gonna give you any spoilers..

Did you know now we have a 3D IMAX theater right here in Penang. Located in Gurney Paragon, I was invited to the TGV Gurney Paragon Official Launch with Spiderman 3D IMAX Premier Screening. Spidey and Electro meets the fans Over an evening of fun, food and games in conjunction to their opening ceremony  The brand new cinema was officiated by the CEO of TGV Cineman, Gerald V. Dibbayawan and Tamon Iwasaki, IMAX's Director of Theater Marketing in Asia. Guess what? Electro was there to power up the whole launching.
