It's weekend and you are feeling a little lazy. Pizza is too costly and you want something hot and soupy? I have this brand new product delivered to my doorstep some time ago by another fellow blogger and decided to give it a try. My first thought? Not another Penang White Curry Instant Noodles... But when cooked I feel this is different. Spicier than those I have tested before, it did really give me a kick. The pack contains one chilly/curry paste and one pack of seasoning. Less messy I would say. The noodles look smooth. Yes I cook my noodles and drain them before eating. Just a personal preference. The best part of having instant noodles is actually the additional ingredients. Add 2 piece of grill luncheon meat, half an egg and some fried onions, you would get something better than what you could eat out there. Spiciness rating 7/10 Taste 7/10 (I prefer thicker soup base but nevertheless the taste is good)

Hungry and thinking of where to eat with budget? How about unlimited refills of tomato rice with condiments(vegetables) at only 6.50/set served on a banana leaf? Hidden in New World Park itself is this little restaurant called Passions of Kerala. They are open from 12-3PM and 6.30-11PM daily. Tomato rice banana leaf set. Rice and vegetables on the banana leaf is with unlimited refills. The first basket of Papadom is included but refills would be charged. The rice is served with chicken curry, fish curry and also dhal in small bowls. Deep fried pomfret. Fresh and piping hot makes it a must try. The other must try is the Mc Nair Fried chicken, fried to saffron brown and tasty too. My personal favourite the Masala Mutton. Best take with the rice. All in all the dishes costs from 5-6 for a single serving and relatively the environment is like a fine dining restaurant but with the price of your normal Mamak stall. Definitely recommended for more visits.

So what made me drop by this remote place far from the island of Penang? It was by chance that I was helping one of my scout leaders for a scout camp that I got introduced to this gem far south of the mainland Penang. Little did I know that it would capture my attention like no other due to the fact that the dishes served are fresh and one of a kind. Imagine you were to open one slice from another and the steams starts coming out and the aromas fills the air around. Fresh sugar cane drink to quench your thirst while waiting for the spicy curry ...
