Roidmi 2S Car Charger review: Seamlessly stream music to any car

Image
I was one of the lucky ones to get one of the currently crowdfunding(indiegogo) Roidmi 2s car chargers for review all the way from China. For those who does not yet know the brand, it's one of the Mi ecosystem companies. The slogan: Your ultimate bluetooth music player and smart car charger. Yes, they lived up to that with the number of mainstream car brands supported as I would explain further. For design, it was  fill black which somehow gives it the classy leather look with the shiny Roidmi logo on it coupled with the shiny crome metal contacts.  Upon plugging in, you would notice the port backlight which one could switch between colours. Closer look at the ports. Somehow it reminds me of the runway airport lights which guides your USB head plane into it =) Did I mention that the car charger supports quick charging that charges much faster than other car chargers/powerbanks. I have tested this connecting my phone which uses GPS on a 5 hours drive. On...

Mi Hi-Fi Headphones 50mm Review

Image
Well about 3 weeks ago, I found in my hands something that might or might not even arrive in Malaysia. Yes the set of Mi Hi-Fi Headphones 50mm Beryllium Driver that many are asking. Several are fortunate to lay their hands on it for testing during one of the Mi meetup in Johor. Some few in KL adhoc supper meet-up. So how did it fare? It comes in a box with a pouch, the headset black leather zipped casing and the instruction papers. The back of the box with technical details like all other mi products Finally the casing out of the box The Headphones and the over the ear cups Here you see the wires (comes with microphone to be used as handsfree, the over the ears cup and also on ears cups attached to the headphones. Now to the wires, the microphone comes with a button which could be programmed on Mi phones using MIUI. The jack and the plus comes with the aircraft/plane adapter jack. (Yes this means I get to play around with this in the plane) Beryllium ...

Image
I was invited for a bloggers review on CSL's latest android codenamed the droidpad last Saturday at Gurney Plaza. Being a tech enthusiast, I went for it to see what they had to offer. Regional sales deputy manager, Wee Jit introducing the pad...oops I mean droidpad to us. 7 inch Multitouch capacitive screen Documents to go... The group of bloggers during the introduction session Review and hands on Then came their maskot. Reminds me of ET don't you think so? Google maps app The group of bloggers waiting patiently for the announcement of a droidpad winner This is the prize!!! So how did they pick one out of the 20 bloggers to win it? Basically you pick a girl... No... not to bring her home... Just to pick one goodies bag from them And open the bag.. Find something that looks like this(as apple tan gestures) The proud winner of the droidpad She didn't introduce herself to me so I will just name her as the "form" girl cause she is walking around collecting forms from...

Samsung Jet S8003 vs iPhone 3GS

Image
My friend in the office who owned an iPhone 3GS had asked me to write up a fair comparison between the 2 phones. The Samsung Jet is said to be the iPhone 3GS killer but is that so? I took my friends phone and played with it for the whole day and here is what supposed to be a fair comparison between both phones. In my opinion from the review of both phones, I found that there are certain features which are better than the other. This is a rough guide on the comparison. Be reminded that mine is a Samsung Jet S8003 and not S8000. In terms of camera, the iPhone has a 3 mega pixel cam compared to the Jet's 5 mp camera with dual flash and anti shaker which I think isn't functional from the blurred pictures in my last post. The battery and talktime is nearly the same so there is no need to mention about both but there had been sites which offers a better battery life on he iPhone. We didn't test till both phone runs out of battery so I can't be sure of this. In terms of size a...

Samsung Jet Review

Image
It's nearly 2 weeks now since I get my free Samsung Jet courtesy of Samsung of course. So what are the goods and bads of the phone? We will get to that in a while more. In terms of weight, it's just a little heavier compared to my old obsolete Samsung SGH-U700 which I had been wanting to change because the slide motion keeps on killing the ribbon. Of course Jet is so much lighter than my old brick sized Nokia N-90 which had expired it's term of service before I got the UGH-700. The new Jet has the much needed Wi-Fi in today's wireless environment. I don't need to rely on the old Wap to get connected. Just hop on to anywhere with Wi-Fi connection and I am good to go. For places without Wi-Fi, there is always the good old Wap with an extra that the phone supports 3G also. It comes with it's own browser. One bad thing I hate about this browser is that there is no close button. You might think you have closed it and start using your camera only to realize you have t...
