Truefitt & Hill : World's Oldest Barber now in Palace Of The Golden Horses

Getting my hair cut has been one of the more personal moments for me. Where else do you sit for hours and let someone else get so close to you in your most vulnerable moments? I was trilled to know that London's finest traditional gentlemen barber and perfumer is here in Malaysia cos I have always wanted to know how royals get their haircuts. Want to know what service is offered and where it is? Read on to find out more...

Started in 1805 by William Francis Truefitt, he quickly establish Truefitt & Hill as one of the finest barbers and wigmaker of which its gentleman's wigs was most sought-after and worn by the King himself. Throughout its history, Truefitt&Hill had had the honour of serving the Monarchs of Great Britain throughout nine consecutive reigns and over the last 195 years, it held many Royal Warrants

Guinness World Record for being the oldest barbershop(and some says the best) in the world and what more a befitting place for their latest outlet in Malaysia other than the Palace Of The Golden Horses since both are fit for the royal families, politicians, and many more

Official Launching of Truefitt & Hill at Palace of the Golden Horses happened on the 22nd of June

It was officiated by HE Charles Hay MVO, the British High Commissioner to Malaysia, Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew, and Mr. Antoine Bakhache, MD for Truefitt & Hill

In conjunction with the launching, they also launched a special Membership Card which gives it's members extra benefits in terms of services and amenities to the hotel.

A 1 year membership at the cost of MYR2500 would grant members 15% discount on services and 10% on products at their Bangsar, KLCC and JW Marriot outlet, 20% off all Palace of the Golden Horses F&B outlets except for tobacco and alcohol and 20% discount for Trinidad Cigar at Palace of the Golden Horses and Seri Pacific.

With the membership at Palace Of The Golden Horses, it comes with 12 times haircut, 12 x free parking, 12 x free flow coffee and tea @ Commonwealth Polo Lounge, 1 x Weekend Hi-Tea Buffet for 2 pax @ Carousel International Coffeehouse, 1x Saturday Japanese Buffet Dinner for 2 pax @ Kin No Uma Japanese Restaurant, 1x 1kg Birthday Cake on birthday month @ Unicorn Cafe, 1 x 2D/1N Suite Room Stay with breakfast for 2, 1 x Shoeshine Service and 2 x Yunohana Massage for 1 pax @ Yunohana Wellness Spa.

They also have an in house store which sells haircare and grooming products imported from the UK

Buy your brush and have it hunged on the wall for your frequent visits

Did I mention there's the cigar lounge next door and for the membership, you could use it interchangeably for the house cigar @ Fidel Cigar Bar

The vast variety of quality cigars available

Perfect for a discussion with your business partners or even friends alike.

So I decided, why not have The Royal Haircut with Shampoo and Finish followed by the Traditional Hot Towel Wet Shave.

What sets them apart is the Hygeine aspect where each of the utensils used are prepped and packed individually so you could have the most personal touch grooming at ease

Once the haircut is done, I am treated to the Traditional Hot Towel Wet Shave while the professionally trained specialist does the shampoo and wash. The Traditional Hot Towel is a must try as it's truly relaxing and you would feel the glow in the skin after the shave.

Even my mum says my face glowed and looks more refreshed after the session.

Want that fresh Royal Treatment for your hair or you would just wanna pamper the Gentlemen in your life? Head on to Palace of the Golden Horses today.
