A little about MARDI Kuala Kangsar, it's primary objective is Durio-tourism and as the name suggests the Durian plantation alone is 22 hectares out of 40 hectares
On our arrival we were surprised by the MP of the Kuala Kangsar constituency, Datin Mastura Mohd Yazid welcoming us to MARDI
Well for most of us Malaysians, eating durians arr like eating rice for a whole meal or even a few meals in a row but how many of us knows how the tree looks like and what are the technology to grow them faster?

The Road to Agro Tourism is a special program organized by the Malaysian Tourism Council (MTC) with the support from Ministry of Tourism and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC) and the Ministry of Agriculture & Agro-Based Industry Malaysia to promote interesting domestic Agro Tourism destination.
There are 6 series of Road To Agro Tourism that is planned which is divided to the following zones, South (Johore), Mid (Perak & Pahang), North (Penang & Kedah), East Coast (Terengganu), Sabah and Sarawak.
This round is the Mid Zone Series which was organized with cooperation of Malaysian Agriculture Research & Development Institute (MARDI) was held from the 12-14th of December 2017. The launching and flagging off event was held in MARDI HQ in Serdang and was attended by about 40 influencers, bloggers, members of the medias, representatives from sponsors, travel agencies, agencies & departments.

So how does a food trail in the city of clouds feels like? Excited, lots of fun and lots of food obviously.
When we got the list, it's 12 outlets in 12 hours and over half serving main course meals. We were like. ok let's start small and go for Street Churros and some other dessert store for tea time.
Our plan? Finish exploring all the outlets in SkyAvenue before heading down to Awana SkyCentral. So next up we got our late "breakfast at Acme Bar & Coffee. Trust me it ain't small at all.
We then continued to a casual fine dine concept where we were served a few course meals and trust me when I say we had lots of fun.
After the filling meal we rushed to Tokyo Secret for tea time and pulled a surprise birthday for Emily Lowe
Then we decided we need a warm hot meal as the weather is cooling up in Genting so we went for Goon Wah Fish head. The piping hot fish head noodle soup is a blessing in disguise.
