Judgement Day: Transformers: Age Of Extinction

Thinking of whether to watch Transformers: Age of Extinction at the nearest cinema? Read on till the end and use the flowchart to determine if you should watch.

The 4th installment or rather a reboot of Michael "EXPLOSION" Bay's Transformers is setting the base for the 5th movie. Full of explosions! Enough said!

Was it good? or was it bad? For me I am going for a 5/10 rating. Lot's of ads placements. For god sake, I am not interested in buying bras from Victoria's Secret but I wouldn't mind looking at some pretty ladies in them. Do they have that? Is Fan Bing Bing in bikini style? I am not going to give you any spoilers. Just go and watch yourself to find out.

For your money's worth, I would recommend 3D IMAX for the fighting/battle and explosive scenes. That's if you could bear with one of the character being a mixture of a failed Tony Stark imitation of a rich billionaire clown for 2 hours 45 minutes. Yes go empty your bladder before the movie of go when you have a hunch they are going to feature the clown in the next few scenes.

Would I go for the 5th movie? Only if they feature more bikini Victoria's Secret clad ladies. Seriously and no offense to the ladies.

Judgement Day: How to Train Your Dragon 2

The second installment of the trilogy. Yes you read it right. There's a 3rd one coming. This is only the sequel to the first movie.

If you have not watch the first movie, there are parts where you would wonder what is happening. Questions like how did they get to ride the dragons? How did someone loss his legs? Did his dragon bite if off?

Go get yourself the DVD of the first movie(illegal or not is up to you seriously but I ain't responsible if you ever get caught).

My take on the movie? Totally worth watching. Going for 3D? I would advice you to save up the money and for the likes of action movies aka Transformers: Age of Extinction as this movie 3D is nowhere near avatar. Seriously after 15 minutes I could barely notice if there were any 3D left on the movie. And No I ain't gonna give you any spoilers..

Javrie's Restaurante & Pizzeria Gurney Paragon Review

Hidden at the corner of the building somewhere in Gurney Paragon is this little known restaurant serving pizzas and one of the most unique burger I have ever had.

Their main attraction? Ramen burger of course.

Spacious setting for patrons comfort.

I liked the deco's on the walls actually

Cappuccino served in their unique cup

You may say burger are too mainstream nowadays with every street in Penang literally having a burger joint right? No the thing is Javries uses ramen to substitute their buns

Chicken Teriyaki Ramen Burger RM15++ ala carte. At first bite I could feel the juicy chicken covered with teriyaki sauce. Something else familiar was in there. Wasabi(optional but do let them know if you can't take it) that added to the unique taste. As the sauce and juice drips out, it was caught by the ramen bun. This made the ramen bun equally as tasty as the tender chicken.

Next is their Italiano pizza RM25.8++. Somehow my friends gave bad reviews on their pizza. At first bite I knew why. Most of the pizzas we have outside has the thick tomato taste which covers the pizza topping. Javrie's on the other hand just spread their tomato paste lightly on a "Thin N Crispy" crust and top them graciously with ingredients so you could have a full taste of the toppings instead

As a matter of fact I enjoyed the toppings heavily topped with cheese.

Lastly the wild mushroom soup. This is one of the things that if you didn't order, you haven't been to Javrie's. Thick and creamy made from fresh wild mushroom. You could just have this one a cold rainy day and feel at home.

Having Sweet Tooth at The Bakery, Sarkies Corner, E&O Hotel Penang

Well, you feel exhausted at work or cleaning the house over the weekend. You feel you just need the sugar rush, something to pamper yourself for a good job done at the end of the day, sit and relax. What do you do? Go find some cakes of course.. What else better than having some cakes listening to the sound of waves?

Look at the cakes. Doesn't it cheer you up? I don't know about you but it sure does for me. Call me Cake monster or what...

Baked fresh daily, they are sold at RM12++/slice from 11am to 9pm. Add a cup of hot tea or coffee for a total of RM18++ for dine in only. Happy hours? Half price for cakes from 6pm onwards.

Pavlova.. One of my favourites especially when they are topped generously with strawberries...

Lemon meringue. Chef's specialty. I like the lemon custard filling. Another must try

Hazelnut cream puffs.. A must try for all hazelnut lovers

I could just stay there all day long for all the cakes and pastries.

Did I mention that they also sell other pastries. These are priced lower than cakes but still tempting nonetheless

Now comes the cakes!!!

Mango chill cheese cake is one of the recommended. Non Baked cheese with fresh mangoes.

My favourite tiramisu. The halal version but it taste as good as the non halal version actually.

The chocolate banana cake.

Dark Chocolate Mousse. At first glance, I know this is the cake for me as I am a chocolate lover. Creamy and filling, it was one of the better chocolate cakes I have had.

Tempted now? Go get your slice today at Eastern & Oriental (E&O) Hotel, The bakery in Sarkies Corner.
