The X Restaurant & Bar Review

So you are down town in Bangsar and you are hungry. Where to eat la? Hardest daily question ever. But but but eating in Bangsar area expensive right? Not really.

I found the best location for food and drinks with a cosy setting where you could enjoy your dinner and also get a pint or two along the way.

But bar food wor. Nice or not? Read on then you know lor..

p.s. Happy hour from 4 till 8pm, you get a 25% off everything on the menu. Food & Drinks! =)

There is no doubt they have one of the best alcohol displays in town and serves a vast variety of cocktails so let's go through a quickie intro on the drinks shall we?

They serve a variety of signature cocktails like the 24K Magic (Brandy, Shott Lemon Ginger Honey, Cinnamon Stick), Good Love (Vodka, Orange, Shott Raspberry, Lemon, Mint Leaves), Gin & Juice (Gin, Monin Hazelnut, Green Apple Juice, Fresh Mint, Ginger Slices) and Sangria just to name a few.

Their bartenders are definitely proud of their creations and these are one of the things I could never get enough of. You would definitely be surprised that they use premium quality alcohol for their cocktails such as the 16 years old Lagavulin in 'Push It' and Glenfiddich in their 'No Diggity'. Anyway other than cocktails, they also serve Draught beers and pure pourings of whiskeys and wines.

But what would a cold crisp Draught beer be without something to munch with right? Try the Calamari 2 ways, deep fried calamari in squid ink and tempura served with wasabi mayo or 2 of my personal favorites, the Nachos with Guacamole (Baked nachos with CHEESE!! jalapeno, sour cream and homemade guacamole) and Salted Egg Calamari. Who wouldn't like crispy stuff with salted eggs right? They even serves Japanese rolls(Uramaki) with Japanese Barbecued Eel, bird's eye chili, deep fried in tempura batter perfect with an ice cold beer.

Lets go down with a proper meal. Start the meal with some lamb sliders made with New Zealand Lamb patties between bamboo charcoal buns or just pick up some Honey Grilled Chicken wings

Next, go with their Caesar's Salad with Chicken Breast and added smoked salmon. Healthy choice indeed and a good start right? I couldn't get enough of this especially the flavorful smoked salmons.

Chef's recommendation the Boss Fried Rice, Meltique beef sirloin fried along with Japanese Fried Rice. Suiting for a boss indeed.

One thing I like about this place is they also serve my favorite, pizzas which are in thin crust to give one the full flavors of the toppings.

One of the best seafood pizzas I ever had with generous amount of seafood toppings. No we are not talking crabsticks etc. Just solid chunks of fresh seafood all on that pizza. The price is even comparable to the same sized pizza in the 2 popular pizza delivery joints.

Australian Sirloin Steak grilled to medium rare perfection.

Paprika roasted chicken leg, Crispy on the outside, juicy on the insides.

I always leave the best towards the end but this time I have 2 of the best selections which well they are tied for the best position. Salmon steak marinated with miso and grilled to perfection. so good you have to go taste it yourself to enjoy is.

Lastly, Lamb cutlets, grilled to slightly charred fats while maintaining it's medium rare insides ensuring you get a burst of flavors in your mouth. Tempted already? Want to know how to get there? Here's the address..
