Javrie's Restaurante & Pizzeria Gurney Paragon Review

Image
Hidden at the corner of the building somewhere in Gurney Paragon is this little known restaurant serving pizzas and one of the most unique burger I have ever had. Their main attraction? Ramen burger of course. Spacious setting for patrons comfort. I liked the deco's on the walls actually Cappuccino served in their unique cup You may say burger are too mainstream nowadays with every street in Penang literally having a burger joint right? No the thing is Javries uses ramen to substitute their buns Chicken Teriyaki Ramen Burger RM15++ ala carte. At first bite I could feel the juicy chicken covered with teriyaki sauce. Something else familiar was in there. Wasabi(optional but do let them know if you can't take it) that added to the unique taste. As the sauce and juice drips out, it was caught by the ramen bun. This made the ramen bun equally as tasty as the tender chicken. Next is their Italiano pizza RM25.8++. Somehow my friends gave bad r...

Rushing for lunch during your hectic lunch hour? Wanted to have something quick with little time? What about chicken rice? Too mainstream right? Try the BBQ Honey Glazed Pork aka Char Siew and it's freshly roasted Roast Pork at Lorong Susu. Hidden in the alley opposite the UMNO building at Georgetown is this small restaurant well known for it's roast meats Even before opening up for business on a normal day, you would have already seen a queue from far away. Why you might ask. Imagine this.. You get a piece of the roast pork, put it in your mouth, First bite and you get to the crispy skin.. Second bite on the mean gets it's juice bursting with flavours in your mouth. If you arrive just around 12, you would get freshly roasted juicy roast pork.. But wait.. That is not what is the most well known about this place. They are more famous for their Char Siew.. At first bite in my mouth, I could feel the oil melting, releasing the sweet juice with honey...

Passions Of Kerala New World Park

Image
Hungry and thinking of where to eat with budget? How about unlimited refills of tomato rice with condiments(vegetables) at only 6.50/set served on a banana leaf? Hidden in New World Park itself is this little restaurant called Passions of Kerala. They are open from 12-3PM and 6.30-11PM daily. Tomato rice banana leaf set. Rice and vegetables on the banana leaf is with unlimited refills. The first basket of Papadom is included but refills would be charged. The rice is served with chicken curry, fish curry and also dhal in small bowls. Deep fried pomfret. Fresh and piping hot makes it a must try. The other must try is the Mc Nair Fried chicken, fried to saffron brown and tasty too. My personal favourite the Masala Mutton. Best take with the rice. All in all the dishes costs from 5-6 for a single serving and relatively the environment is like a fine dining restaurant but with the price of your normal Mamak stall. Definitely recommended for more visits.
