H-Artistry Meet & Greet with performers

I was invited to the meet and greet with the performers of H-Artistry prior to the night's party at Equatorial Hotel Penang.

It was a fun session full of jokes and laughters

And we kind of get to know more about the performers. Something not widely known about them yet.. Like which Penang Food do they want to eat? Guess?

Group photo of the group performers

Oh yeah and the crazy bunch..

Ronnefeldt Teas

Those who know me would already know I am an avid drinker.. No.. Not really alcohol but tea. I could just go out for a pot of hot tea before going to bed or even have a cup in office to ease my tired eyes. I was lucky enough to lay my hands on these 3 cans of gem lately and I think I am addicted to the taste.

Many may not know this brand here in Malaysia but I could tell you that this tea is really popular in the Europe. One of the most renowned and well known brand of tea that has just started in Malaysia, it has tons of different flavours for you to choose from. I will just introduce the 3 I had here

Green dragon.. Green tea from China harvested during Spring.

You could clearly see the stalk and leaves poured from the can.

When brewed, the leaves bloom to their actual size. Upon sipping, I could feel the bitter sweet taste of green tea but in this, it's much smoother and clear than those I get with teabags which usually a little murky with powder residue. If you think you love the green tea you get in Japanese restaurants, then wait till you really try this.

Then we have the Royal Assam plucked during Summer. You may ask what does GFBOP means. It's actually grading and it stands for - Golden Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe. Aanyway let's not get technical but Flowery Orange Pekoe is the young leave next to the bud aka one of the high grades of tea.

The leaves direct from it packaging

When brewed, it was surprisingly smooth as I did not use any filter at all. I actually take this tea with some wolfberry in it when I am at work. Somehow the combination is sweet from wolfberry aka GeiJi mixed with the bitter taste of the tea. And most importantly it keeps me awake yet at the same time helps my strained eyes relax.

As they say, save the best for the last right? Oolong tea plucked during Summer.

Whole leaves direct from the package

You think this is the normal Oolong you could get in the local supermarket right? WRONG! They did added something else. Something that changed this to a whole new flavour. Some prefer to put dates with their oolong tea. This one already has it.. Small berries that gives it a fruity taste. The leaves would blossom to full length when brewed. It carries the fragrant and taste of laici on top of the usual oolong tea taste making this a whole new blend. Seriously I would recommend this one for non tea drinkers who just wanted to start.

First Famous Restaurant(Lorong Susu) Non Halal

Rushing for lunch during your hectic lunch hour? Wanted to have something quick with little time? What about chicken rice? Too mainstream right? Try the BBQ Honey Glazed Pork aka Char Siew and it's freshly roasted Roast Pork at Lorong Susu.

Hidden in the alley opposite the UMNO building at Georgetown is this small restaurant well known for it's roast meats

Even before opening up for business on a normal day, you would have already seen a queue from far away.

Why you might ask. Imagine this.. You get a piece of the roast pork, put it in your mouth, First bite and you get to the crispy skin.. Second bite on the mean gets it's juice bursting with flavours in your mouth.

If you arrive just around 12, you would get freshly roasted juicy roast pork..

But wait.. That is not what is the most well known about this place. They are more famous for their Char Siew.. At first bite in my mouth, I could feel the oil melting, releasing the sweet juice with honey out. Seriously I could have this for lunch for a week and still wouldn't get bored of it.. Maybe getting fat.. hahaha..

They do provide takeaways and seriously at the current rate of single meat(normal portion), single rice of RM4, it's a bargain.

Royal Sweet & Sour Hericium Meal  @RM18.7  taste like those sweet and sour meat with rice but in this case more delicious and healthy.

Signature Nasi Lemak @RM15.7 proves that even without the coconut milk, it could still taste as good with Fried seaweed as an anchovy replacement and cashew nuts for peanuts. Top that with tofu with egg and combination of potatoes and sweet potatoes.

Signature Hakka Lei Cha @RM14.70 for someone who has heard so much about Lei Cha and how it didn't suit their tastebuds, I think this is more than acceptable. In fact it was quite delicious if you ask me. I would recommend that people give it a chance and try this actually.. No regrets in me.

Thai Style Spaghetti @RM16.70

Green Curry Ramen @RM13.70 both made from organic flour and pumpkin, the noodles are much healthier than your normal household spagetti/ramen. Add that with green curry, perfect hot soupy meal for a rainy cold day.
