Penang's First IMAX Theater in TGV Launch and The Amazing Spider-Man: Rise of Electro Premier 3D IMAX Screening


Did you know now we have a 3D IMAX theater right here in Penang. Located in Gurney Paragon, I was invited to the TGV Gurney Paragon Official Launch with Spiderman 3D IMAX Premier Screening. Spidey and Electro meets the fans


Over an evening of fun, food and games in conjunction to their opening ceremony



 The brand new cinema was officiated by the CEO of TGV Cineman, Gerald V. Dibbayawan and Tamon Iwasaki, IMAX's Director of Theater Marketing in Asia.


Guess what? Electro was there to power up the whole launching.

About the movie.. I am not going to be a spoiler but I would say the whole IMAX experience was marvelous. With the IMAX Gigantic screen coupled with 3D effect and excellent sound quality, it's being part of the movie experience for me. Go and experience it for yourself. It's a MUST watch!.. Psst.. The seatings are really spacious and has good leg resting space even for a tall guy like me..

Things to prepare before you watch Spiderman Rise of Electro:

Tissue Papers... You will know when you get there.. No it's not the cinema.. it's the movie..
Clear your bladder.. It's 142 minutes long..With the best 3D and gigantic screen coupled with a good movie, you wouldn't even think of leaving the hall.

Rapid KL LIED!! TIPU!!

I have been a Rapid KL user since the days of Intrakota and Star LRT. Yes, that roughly tells you how long I had relied on public transport to move around KL. I mean the infrequent train and the rise in fares had affected me in a bad way but it's still bearable. The cost of taking the bus home had risen from a mere RM40++ for RM2 daily bus pass to RM100 for a bus pass. This doesn't include the train rides I take. To make it worse, they boast LIED in their brochures that "SAVE 50% on fares when you buy passes".
