The string of events and happenings after the Nokia event and an incident in Saturday's Digi D'tour had me thinking about this for some time before i decide to blog it out here. About the Digi event which was excellent, there is a session where the staff shared that there were blogger events where bloggers are invited to attend and one of the participants actually asked if the bloggers were somehow paid to write only good things about a particular company. At least the participant now knows that there are still bloggers who blogs with a clear conscience. At least this is what he said about me. Well I would say not all bloggers can be bought by money or items. At least I know I am not one of them. If an event/product is really good, I would write good reviews and also praise it even when I need to fork out money to get it. I am sure many of you have read blogs, articles and maybe the newspapers on how successful the Nokia Comes With Music X6 launch event is. I know of a few who even blogged and showed videos of the event. No I am not here to give you the same type of posting like previously done. Like the old saying there's always 2 sides of a coin or there is always 2 sides with different view. So now you have heard about the other side, I am here to give you the different side. First there is the advertisement all over the place saying they will sell 66 units of X6 at RM66 on a ballot basis which will be given out at 7 on that day. I have been a Rapid KL user since the days of Intrakota and Star LRT. Yes, that roughly tells you how long I had relied on public transport to move around KL. I mean the infrequent train and the rise in fares had affected me in a bad way but it's still bearable. The cost of taking the bus home had risen from a mere RM40++ for RM2 daily bus pass to RM100 for a bus pass. This doesn't include the train rides I take. To make it worse, they boast LIED in their brochures that "SAVE 50% on fares when you buy passes". I think the brochures should be rewritten as "YOU PAY EXTRA 100% on fares even when you buy passes" or "WE EARN DOUBLE FROM PASS SALES". If you do not know what happened previously go read HERE . Today I met with their Senior Operations Manager and their Assistant Marketing Manager regarding the complain I made. Yes I am serious. I thought my complain just landed somewhere in the recycle bin till I got an email from them yesterday telling they would like to meet me up with me today. I was like "Oh sh!t, Are they gonna eat me up?" Comes out that they are quite nice and sincere people when apologizing for what I went through. Never expected such sincere apologies from a down to earth service oriented cheerful Senior Manager. Read this before even going over to the Sunway outlet. Seriously they need to improve on their service and customer service. Yes I am a nice person and there are limits which I could tolerate. I told myself not to blog till I finished all my assignments. Yes I have stopped blogging ever since the horde of assignments came in.
