Mikali Cafe, Family & Kid Friendly Cafe Review


Nursing mum? Having that uneasy feeling, urge and pain to nurse but nowhere else even in shopping malls or even restaurant? What if I tell you there's a cafe that not only has a nursing room but is also kid friendly in KL? Not only that, this family run cafe also sells baby products on top of serving good food.


This family run cafe is located in Bandar Sri Damansara, 15 minutes walk from Kepong Sentral KTM station.


It features an open air and play area for kids


Then we have the comfortable air conditioned insides enough for a small birthday party or functions.


As I mentioned, they are kids friendly so of course there would be kid safe utensils.


Other than that they also sell a variety of baby products and SNACKS FROM TAIWAN!!!


Then we have the private nursing room for guests


It's spacious to give comfort to the moms


As for drinks for those who just want to hang out, they have a wide variety of drinks available from teas to coffees. Beauty flower tea to keep you beautiful and hydrated. Hahahaha.


Non caffeine, they have hot chocolate to warm the hearts of your partner *winks*


For the coffee addicts, they serve a some coffee based drinks such as caramel machiato


Where's the green tea right? Of course they serve green tea latte for green tea lovers


Then we also have the chocolatey coffee in the form of mocha caramel


My personal favourite, the affogato. smooth vanilla ice cream with coffee shots.. Reminds me of the bittersweet life we are having. Most of the drinks are RM10 and below


How about a simple lunch you might ask? A personal Hawaiian pizza with a drink to fill the tummy? Let me introduce their food.


Chicken ham and pineapples topped with a huge amount of cheese. Definitely one for the cheese lovers.


Spaghetti cooked with chicken and chicken ham mixed with marinara sauce


Mushroom lover's favourite pasta. Definitely recommended for vegetarians


My personal favourite Macaroni topped with cheese and baked to perfection served with crunchy garlic breads.


Fish of the day. Pan grilled served with lemony sauce


Juicy chicken chop with salted cream sauce. Chicken for dads, fries for kids =)


Fried popcorn chicken with cheese sauce and sunny side up on rice. Kids would definitely love it.


Pan fried Stuffed Chicken to golden brown on the outside, juicy and filling on the inside served with fragrance rice.


For light eaters, the french toast would be a good selection. Peanut butter sandwich dipped into eggs and toasted topped with butter


They also serve a variety of cakes.


But the best is my favourite, the rainbow cake (you don't always see this everywhere and kids loves it, and yes I am a small kid at heart)


I puke rainbows whenever I see rainbow cakes =)

Rapid KL LIED!! TIPU!!

I have been a Rapid KL user since the days of Intrakota and Star LRT. Yes, that roughly tells you how long I had relied on public transport to move around KL. I mean the infrequent train and the rise in fares had affected me in a bad way but it's still bearable. The cost of taking the bus home had risen from a mere RM40++ for RM2 daily bus pass to RM100 for a bus pass. This doesn't include the train rides I take. To make it worse, they boast LIED in their brochures that "SAVE 50% on fares when you buy passes". I think the brochures should be rewritten as "YOU PAY EXTRA 100% on fares even when you buy passes" or "WE EARN DOUBLE FROM PASS SALES".
