Casual Fine Dine Experience @ Bon Appétit Restaurant & Café
Always wanted the fine dine treatment where you are treated like Kings and Queens without having to dress for the occasion or do you ever want to eat food your way without being judged on how you use your forks spoons and knives learning etiquette like moving from outermost to inner most etc. I found just the place for you and me because Frank Sinatra's "I did it my wayyyyy" =)
Nestled in Oasis Square Ara Damansara is this Restaurant and Café named Bon Appétit which caters for lunch and dinner on weekdays which also serves a tailored menu which you pick. All you have gotta do is let them know you want to impress your date earlier and set the food you wanted.
The place is also huge enough to cater for a mini party, a formal lunch or dinner and like I have said before all you need to do is inform them earlier for the arrangement. It's also quiet enough to prepare for a romatic dinner between you and your other half. What we have prepared for us bloggers during the review was a multi course fine dining setting enough to feed all 10 of us =)
Let's start with their beverage selection. One could choose from a vast of cold cocktails they have on the menu.
Or you could just choose the usual fruit juice for those who prefers the traditional drinks.
They also serve a variety of hot coffees, chocolate and teas
For Amuse-bouche, we were served the Mushroom Bruschetta, just nice to tickle the senses
Next comes the appetizers, the Japanese Smoked Salmon Salad served with sesame dressing. A must try for all Salmon lovers
We also have the Chili Garlic Vongole. Clams served in creamy hot soupy sauce perfect when dipped with their toasted garlic bread.
For soup to warm one's soul, we have the french onion soup served with croutons
For pasta, we have the deliciously glazed salmon teriyaki on Mushroom Alfredo
or the crispy on the outside, flavourful on the inside Chicken Confit. The highlight for this is the chicken which gives you a taste of salt baked chicken perfectly accompanied by the pasta.
Then Comes the Main Course. My Selection? The Hawaiian Sol, thin crispy crusted pizza served with the gracious topping of juicy chicken sausages, red and green bell pepper, cheese and an onsen egg on top complementing it perfectly. Now imagine the egg yolk exploding in flavours in your mouth along with the cheesy taste of cheese on top of the tomato sauce. It was heaven I tell you.
The also serve other mains like this salmon steak and lemon caviar
or the tons of other mains to choose from clockwise from top left, Fish Fillet and Pepper Coulis, My other personal favorite, the perfectly grilled Lamb Shoulders with Ratatouille, chicken navarin or the great western beef burger. You could read more on fellow Blogger, Racheal's post HERE
As for Dessert, they serve one of the best Crème Brûlée I have ever tasted. Creamy custard topped with a layer of hard caramel done properly.
Finally we have the Triple Play Sundae, A made in house ice cream of 3 layers containing chocolate, coffee, chocolate sauce, coffee ice shavings on top and topped with a cherry to give each spoon a differentiating flavors in the mouth.
